After installing the Zune software and connecting your device, click the 'Device' link in the menu at the
top-right, and then select the section you want to copy content from
(eg. 'music,'
'videos,' 'pictures'). Single-click on one of the albums, and then
press Ctrl+A to select all albums. Then simply click and drag one of
the albums to the computer icon in the lower left-hand corner to copy the music to your computer.
The message you received said that your Zune was linked to a different
computer since it didn't recognize it after the reformat. This means
that the current pre-format content on your device will not be
automatically synched with your computer.
By Zune account I assume you mean the Zune program on your computer.
If that is what you mean then it is simple. In your Zune program click
on settings>software>collection. You will see monitored folders
there. Make sure that the folder your music is in on your computer is
listed there.
Once you have done that then click on settings>device>sync
options. If you want to sync your music automatically this is where you
need to be. That should take care of it.
Usually when something sounds too good to be true, it is. And unfortunately this case is no different.
So while it is possible to find movies for your Zune online that are both free and legal, they are most likely not something that you really care about watching.
Were you expecting to find the latest Hollywood blockbuster release online for free? You might find it, but you can be pretty sure that if you do, it's not legal. The only free Zune movie downloads that you can find online that are legal are public domain works. Or possibly independent film makers who are still trying to make a name for themselves.
Zune pass music is of very high quality—for all practical purposes it
sounds CD quality. Depending on the song, it can be 192 kbps wma, 256
kbps mp3 or 320 kbps mp3.
Generally, mp3 files need to be ripped at a higher bit rate in order to
provide the same quality as a lower bit rate wma file which is why the
Zune marketplace uses a higher bit rate when the file is an mp3 file.
Both wma and mp3 are compressed audio file formats and as a result would
never be able to deliver true CD quality sound. The Zune supports the
wma lossless format which is true CD quality.
However, since these files are not compressed they are much larger. Zune
marketplace music is not available in wma lossless format.
Unfortunately, no. The Zune HD is similar to older Zune models in that it does not support Youtube. Even with the new internet explorer web browser.
But your mom told you everything is possible if you just put your mind to it, right?
It is possible to watch Youtube videos on your Zune HD. It just requires some more work on your part.
Youtube videos are in "flash video" format (.flv). This format is not something that the Zune HD can decode. In order to watch a Youtube video, you must first convert it to a video format that the Zune HD can understand - mpeg-4, h.264 or wmv.
Sorry, but the 5 games you have are the only supported Zune games published by Microsoft - Hexic, Texas Hold 'Em, Sudoku, Space Battle and Checkers.
Gaming support on older Zunes (anything before the Zune HD) is limited. There is no easy way to install any third party developed games on your Zune (but it's possible).
