Yahoo Password Recovery

1. Click “Start” located in the bottom-left of the screen. Click “All Programs,” then click “Yahoo! Messenger.”
2. Click the “Add Plug-ins” button from the Yahoo! Messenger application window. The Plug-ins Manager window launches.
3. Click the “My Plug-ins” tab from the Plug-ins Manager window.
4. Click the plug-in you want to remove.
5. Click the trash icon to the right of the plug-in name to uninstall the plug-in.
6. Restart Yahoo! Messenger.

1. Open a Web browser.
2. Navigate to TrueSwitch's dedicated Hotmail page at trueswitch.com/hotmail.
3. Enter your Comcast account info in the "Enter the address and password of the account you're copying from:" fields.
4. Enter your Hotmail login info in the "Enter the address (@hotmail.com or @live.com) and password you're copying to:" fields.
5. Check the box next to "Copy your e-mail messages." Select any other options you want to enable as well, such as copying your Comcast address book and calendar over to your Hotmail account.
6. Click "Copy To Windows Live Hotmail" at the bottom of the screen once all the required fields are completed and the desired services are selected.

1. Sign in to Hotmail with your Windows Live ID.
2. Create a new email by clicking "New" either just below or just above your inbox in the main pane.
3. Click the "Show Cc and Bcc" option in the top-right corner of the email composure options. The email's header expands to include the two fields.
4. Enter the email addresses you want to hide into the "Bcc" field.
5. Compose the rest of the message, then send it. The addresses listed in the "Bcc" field will be hidden to the recipients.

1. Log into Windows Live Hotmail using your username and password.
2. Click "Contacts" on the left side of the page.
3. Type all or part of the first name, last name, or username of the person you are looking for in the text field marked "Search Your Contact List."
4. Press "Enter," or click the "Search" icon inside the text field. A list of contacts matching the name you typed will be presented.
5. Place your mouse over avatar of the contact you are looking for. A pop-up menu will open.
6. Click "Send Email" to send an email to that person. Click "View Details" to see the contact's profile page.
7. Click "All Contacts" on the top left of the screen to clear the search results.

1. Launch your Web browser and visit Hotmail.com.
2. Enter your Hotmail email address into the "Windows Live ID" field, including @hotmail.com, and input your account password into the "Password" field. Click "Sign in" to access your Hotmail account.
3. Click the "Inbox" link to visit your inbox. Click the message with an attachment to open the message. You can recognize emails with attachments by a paperclip icon next to the sender.
4. Click the "Show content" link in the yellow box at the bottom of the email message that says "Attachments, pictures and links in this message have been blocked for your safety." A list of attachments will appear.
5. Click any one of the attachments to download the file.
6. Click the "Always show content from [email address]" in the yellow box, if you trust the sender of the email that contains the attachment.

1. Open a Web browser and travel to the Hotmail website at hotmail.com.
2. Log in normally using your Windows Live ID. Click on "Go to inbox" if you're taken to your Windows Live homepage rather than your Hotmail inbox.
3. Click the "Unread" option in the inbox's "Show" toolbar, located between the inbox search field and your list of emails. The filter activates and only your unread emails appear in your inbox.

1. Navigate in your Web browser to Hotmail.com, signing in with your Hotmail login credentials if prompted.
2. Click the "Profile" link in the upper-right corner of the page.
3. Click the "Edit Details" link near the top of the page. You can see your current address on the next page under the "Contact Info" heading.
4. Click the "Edit" link next to "Contact Info."
5. Click the drop-down menu next to "Country/region," and select your nation.
6. Type your street address in the "Home Address" and "Address 2" fields.
7. Type your city, state and ZIP code using the remaining three fields.
8. Click the "Save" button.

1. Log in to your Hotmail account.
2. Click the email to open it. If this email has a blocked attachment, you will see an "Attachments have been blocked for your safety" message inside a yellow box.
3. Click the "Show Content" option inside the yellow box to unblock the attachment.

Creating a Yahoo! email identity and password gives you access to an account. You can use this as your central email inbox for Yahoo! Mail and other accounts, such as your Hotmail. This is available for free and found on the Yahoo! Mail page http://mail.yahoo.com

Account Settings

The account settings of your Yahoo! Mail control what external emails will show up in your account. Clicking on "Options" or "Mail options" will take you into the menu to access these parameters.

The "Add Account" option in the Yahoo! Mail account settings creates the fields you will use to set up your Hotmail account. These will include a name for the new link, such as "Hotmail account," a spot for your name and your Hotmail email address.

Yahoo! Mail lets you indicate the folder you want your incoming messages to go to, such as your inbox or a specific folder you create. Additionally, you can check or uncheck the option to "Leave mail on POP server" based on your preferences. All that is required is that you type "pop3.live.com" into the "Server" field.

1. Access your Hotmail account in your Web browser. Log in using your user name and password.
2. Click "Options" under "Hotmail Highlights."
3. Click "Hotmail" under "Show Options For," then click "Safe and Blocked Senders."
4. Click "Blocked Senders" to view a list of blocked contacts.
5. Review the list of blocked contacts and click the email address of the contact you want to unblock. The email address will be highlighted.
6. Click "Remove from List" to unblock the contact.

1. Click the "Send Email" link below the "Hotmail Highlights" heading.
2. Click the "Rich Text" option near the top-left side above the message composition screen. Click "Edit in HTML" from the drop-down menu.
3. Copy the following code into the composition text area box:

4. Replace the value for the "background-image:URL" setting with your own image link from the Internet. You can host your own background image online on a Web hosting account or link to an external website that doesn't belong to you.
5. Click the "Edit in HTML" option at the top of the page and select "Rich Text." The body area of the message will display your background image, allowing you to type your message on top of the image.
6. Fill in the "To" and "Subject" fields, then click the "Send" link above the email composition editor. Your message will send to the recipient with the background image showing as long as the person's email client accepts HTML-based emails.

1. Go to the Windows Live Hotmail homepage.
2. Enter your Windows Live ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.
3. Click "Help" and enter "Cancel account" in the search bar. Press the "Enter" or "Return" key on the computer keyboard.
4. Select the "How do I close my account or why was my account closed?" option.
5. Click the "Close a free Windows Live Hotmail account" option.
6. Click the "Close account" link.
7. Click "Close My Account" to confirm that you want to delete and close the Hotmail account.

1. Open your preferred email program.
2. Open a new message window.
3. Click on the "View -> BCC Field" menu in Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express to add the BCC field to the email composition window. In Gmail, click the "Add Bcc" link under the "To" field. In Hotmail, click the "Show Cc & Bcc" link in the upper-right hand corner of the screen. In Yahoo! Mail, click the "Add Bcc" link next to the "CC" field.
4. Type the email addresses of the recipients you want to keep confidential in the "BCC" field.
