07/20/2011 00:31 by ThomasOakes

How to launch Word 2007 on Vista without opening a blank document? Everytime I open a new Word 2007 document, it opens a blank document. Can anyone show me what should i do?

  • Click office button in the left top of your word 2007 window. Then close it. This document will be close. Find the normal.doc in your C or D dish where you setup word 2007, delete it.

  • this might help you:
    1. Click the round Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.
    2. Click Close, down at the bottom of the menu. That will close the document.

  • Thank you. 'Click office button in the left top of your word 2007 window. Then close it. This document will be close. Find the normal.doc in your C or D dish where you setup word 2007, delete it.' This works.

  • Not blank doc open, I fix it via changing the default template
To change Word 2007’s default template, follow these steps:
    1. Click the Office button
    2. Select Open
    3. In the Open dialog box, click Templates
    4. Double-click the Normal template
    5. The Normal template will open so you can edit it.
    6. Make changes as you would to any Word document. Keep in mind, though, that any changes you make will be applied to all new documents.
    7. When you’re done making changes to the Normal template, click Save on the Quick Access toolbar.
Note: If you are using Word’s compatibility mode, you may have two Normal templates on your computer. Edit the Normal.dotm template.
Your objective is to change the Normal.dotm template.....When you open it.make it blank.
