Which is the best Defragger? Smart Defrag , Auslogics Disk Defrag, or Defraggler

10/20/2011 01:20 by jvanhorn

I used to have Smart Defrag. In the beginning it worked smoothly. THen one day, it wouldnt work! I would press the Defrag button, then it would start analyzing, then it said 'idle' and i couldnt find a way for it to work. I reinstalled it, and the same thing happened (worked, then went idle) anyway, I have auslogics now, and I found defraggler. So should I switch to defraggler? Do you guys know why Smart Defrag isn't working? Which of the three is best for Windows 7?

  • They are all a waste of time.
The benefits of defragmentation are highly exaggerated due to old technology. Ten years ago this type of thing made sense. By the time Windows 7 came out, all this is nonsense. If you really need to defragment your drive (and you don't), Start Menu, enter 'defrag' in that little search box, and it'll give you a defragmenter.
Defragging a disk is an old idea. It's a myth. It's benefits are minimal.

  • According to all the buzz in tech forums there still is only one the most effective - it's Auslogics Disk Defrag. It's free and high rated in brothersoft, fast and safe. I choose only trusted developers who is long time in this game. Any techie will choose Auslogics.

  • Defraggler from Piriform.
It's the best Disk Defragmentation that defrags your entire hard drive, and also your individual files.
This compact and portable Windows application supports NTFS and FAT32 file systems.
It differs from other defrag tools on the market, by enabling you to quickly and simply defrag the files you want to, without having to process the whole drive.
