  • Windows picture and fax viewer is tightly integrated into the Windows operating system. Used as a default viewer for images and faxes, Windows picture and fax viewer does not have a specific icon location to start the program, however you can access it using the command line path.

        Step 1

            Click the "Start" button.

        Step 2

Open the "Run" command by searching for "Run" or typing the word Run into the command box below all programs.

        Step 3

Enter the command line: Rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen "path to picture file" where the path to the picture is the location on the hard drive. For example, if you had a picture called ireallylovekittensalot.jpg that was located in the root C:\ directory you would enter 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen c:\ireallylovekittensalot.jpg" into the Run application because this is the path to the program.
