-
Click the "Browse" patch icon on the Redrum Drum Computer to open the file browser menu. Click on "Reason Factory Sound Bank," then "Redrum Drum Kits."

Choose a drum kit from the menu. A hip-hop drum kit is recommended for crunk beats.
-
Click the "Play" icon at the top of each drum channel to preview the kit's percussion samples. Click on "Select" at the bottom of each drum channel, then click on a drum pad on the Redrum Drum Computer skin to choose a trigger for the sample during that part of the beat.

Select which drum samples to trigger during the beat. Music production tutorial website BoyInABand.com recommends using a bass drum sound, along with rolling snare drum samples and hi-hats to achieve the crunk sound for your beat. To switch one drum sample without changing the others, click on the browse icon at the top of the drum channel and choose a sample file from the list that will appear.
-
Click on the "Create" menu to create other devices to augment the drums. You can choose a synthesizer to play a melodic lead or bass line, or a sampler to trigger a specific sample.
