Seamoney is a nice program. but it would be better if it added a language translation like chrome did.

I use it constantly. It is a rewrite of the Netscape Communicator. I find it a lot easier to install the required plug-ins from web sites, compared to FireFox web browser. I like the fact I have more control over the browser settings also. I have IE7, FireFox, Seamonkey and Opera on my computer. That way I can open another browser to do a web search and go back to Sea Monkey where I was. I wouldn't trade SeaMonkey for any of the other browsers. You do not have to load up the whole suite; you can choose only the browser.

How to get the html coding to translate from the composer to the preview browser on Mozilla's Seamonkey?

Since I use Seamonkey for my normal web browsing but don't code much anymore in html I opened composer, noticed clicked on <html> Source and typed a few tags and some text in the body section of the page. Then I clicked on normal and everything turned into the page I was trying to describe. I then highlighted some text, changed the color to red made it underlined and centered it using the menu. If you enter text in Normal mode it is text. If you enter html codes you will probably get something like my old Groklaw sig:

<html >&ltb> ban html </b&gt&ampl;t;/html>

when you looked at it from the html source view. For codes enter them in source view. DO NOT enter anything except text in normal view: use menus to add backgrounds, images and formatting to your pages. It's really that simple.

Instead of clicking and dragging on the lower right corner when you launch it, go to the window menu and zoom, or reinstall.

Extract the tarball
Right-click on the tarball and select extract here.
- Click on the shell script inside the seamonkey folder called "seamonkey."
To make things convenient you should create an application link (icon you can click on) with the command being the exact path to the shell script.

The Water Purifier is a Top Secret combination of buffers and special ingredients that help Sea-Monkeys hatch and thrive. The actual composition is and known only by Mr. Von Braunhut (the creator) and a few others.

No, just fill to the correct level with distilled or purified water. The Water Purifier is designed as a one-time formula

The SeaMonkey Project News page and the SeaMonkey Blog and SeaMonkey QA Blog are good resources for the latest SeaMonkey news. You can also wade through the SeaMonkey IRC logs for the latest goings-on. For developers, a good news source is the mozilla.dev.apps.seamonkey newsgroup.

SeaMonkey 1.0 was released off the 1.8.0 branch like Firefox 1.5.0.1. SeaMonkey 1.1 was released off the 1.8.1 branch like Firefox 2. SeaMonkey 2.0 was released off the 1.9.1 branch like Firefox 3.5 (see the Global:1.9 Trunk 1.8 Branch Plan for a graphical depiction of the former trunk and branches and a description of what development work would occur on the trunk and branches). SeaMonkey 2.1 was released off the 2.0 branch like Firefox 4. Following versions of SeaMonkey will be released off the same branch as the corresponding Firefox version.

The first version was 1.0 to distinguish the difference between the officially supported Mozilla Application Suite 1.7.x and the new community-supported SeaMonkey suite. This has been done for the benefit of our business users who will need to make an informed decision about upgrade paths.

The second version was 1.1 and a feature update to 1.0. The third version was 2.0 and a whole new release based on the Mozilla 1.9.1 platform. The forth version was 2.1, based on Mozilla 4.0.1. Starting with version 2.2, SeaMonkey joined the rapid release train, which means new releases every six weeks and the end of minor updates (emergency security fix releases may still happen, though).
