Rising Antivirus is good computer protect solution with power detection. but it slows down internet connection.

What about rising antivirus free is it better than avast free?

NO... it is not as good as Avast .... as a matter of fact, it's awful !!
According to AV Comparatives.org's labs, it did not even achieve a passing score.... it "flunked" all tests...
You would be better off sticking with Avast..... better even yet, try Avira's Antivir free. Best detection of any free ones, (and most paid)...

Is there any way to run rising antivirus on a mac running leopard os x?

Yes there is but why wouldn't you run some other antivirus? Norton has an antivirus program and you can buy it at the Apple store.

The free adition you have to update manually before scanning, the other updates automatically...install the free home adition of Avast antivirus, it updates automatically...it blocks downloads that are virus infected and blocks you entering dodgy sites.

It is good against chinese malware but bad aginst others.
Better free alternatives are Avast and MSE.
