With HDV, connect your camcorder via firewire (iLINK/IEEE1394 port), go to capture window in Studio and get real-time capture (just like standard definition)
Wth AVCHD, you have a number of choices... All involve copying the files from your camcorder to your hard disk, so it is not formally considered capturing.
*Copy files from the media (DVD, HDD, or flash media) direct to the computer HDD. You can then open up the files within Studio
*Download the files using the vendor supplied software (eg. HD Writer for Panasonic camcorders). Then browse to them using Studio
*Use Studio's File>Import from media from device. In this method, your camcorder (or card reader) needs to be connected by USB 2.0 and UDF driver
VitaScene for Studio contains 260 Filters and Transitions + the Studio
Plugin. The full version contains 560 Effect settings as well as all
other Plugins for Adobe Liquid, Adobe Premiere, After Effects etc.
Pinnacle products sold in Europe are generally PAL and NTSC (and
sometimes SECAM). If you buy your product in the USA or from a US
Internet retailer and you want to use it in Europe, be sure that the
product is the European version.
If you bought a US product (NTSC only), you will have to get an exchange
or money back from your dealer. Pinnacle Europe is actually not able to
do an exchange.
Frequently asked question, what are the differences between Studio 11
Standard Version, Studio 11 PLUS and Studio 11 ULTIMATE ? Studio 11
ULTIMATE has the same feature list as Studio Plus 11 with the following
additions:
additional content of BIAS SoundSoap, proDAD Vitascene, and Stagetools Moving Picture
studio Ultimate 11 comes with a green screen (note: the upgrade version does not have the green screen)
dolby 5.1 Encoding can be activated for free in Studio Ultimate 11
AVI is a container; this container holds the movie which is
coded/decoded using a "codec". In our case (Pinnacle Studio), the codec
is DV Encoder. This codec codes and decodes the images or the movie.
With the DV Encoder codec, the movie is compressed using "intra-image",
i.e. EACH image is INDEPENDENTLY compressed (independently of the
neighbors). The compression is "low" and each special effect or
modification done on the movie is non-destructive. At least 10
successives modifications (filters, plugins, transitions, etc...) are
needed to degrade a movie coded in DV Encoder.
With MPEG codec, the compression is "INTER-IMAGE", i.e. each image is
coded with its neighbors (in general, 8 together). Thus, when you modify
ONE image, you modify also the 8 neighbors indirectly. Furthermore, the
compression is more "destructive" because the compression is much
higher than DV Enc. Each modification alters the quality of the movie.
To summarize, we can compare MPEG with JPEG. To better understand, open
your favorite drawing software, open a JPEG image, and save it
successively with a medium compression factor; quality will be rapidly
decreased during this process. This is MPEG.
Consequently, it is always better to work with DV and to do the
conversion to MPEG at the end, when you are ready to create your DVD!
I am not sure I understand what you want.
Using the 'Arabic typesetting' does not produce arabic characters. That font is
language dependent and might be for someone with an arabic keyboard to produce
english text (at least thats my guess).
Hi, can you please tell me where i can find the 'right switch'? I am using pinnacle studio 11 plus and I am having the same problem: video is fine but when I import it to pinnacle it is upside down. You need to be more specific regarding "the lettering" what does it say?.
Make sure that you have enough hard drive space and memory to run this
program ,first I sugest yiou delete any none required programs using
Control panel\ add remove programs. empty recycle bin, and clear any
temp files etc. then run defrag to make best use of available space
finally you could uninstall then re-install studio. I have run studio
from version 9 through to the current 12plus in can be quirky if not
installed correctly with enough space
