Opera seems to screw up more then any browser I've used. It crashes, freezes and does not recognize hot links.

I use the 64 bit 12.00 which crashes so much I seldom fire it up. The 11.6 32 bit I mostly use is much better but still finds ways to irritate. If I wanted spend time searching issues and reconfiguring, I would have stuck with IE.

Running a late model PC, W7 updated, secured and clean.

- Rather than manually deleting your search history, you can also configure your Opera Web browser to automatically delete your accumulated search history every time you exit your browser. Open the Preference dialog box, go to History, check the box next to "Empty on exit" and save your settings.
- Additionally, you may also want to delete your Opera browser cookies. Your cookies show a record of your browsing history. To delete your cookies, instead of selecting "History" in the Preferences dialog box, select "Cookies."

1. Open Opera and navigate to a website that contains images.

1. Click the Windows "Start" button, select "All Programs" and then click "Opera" to launch the web browser. If you are using a Mac, launch Opera by clicking the Opera icon on the dock.
2. Select the "Settings" option on your web browser, then scroll down and select "Quick Preferences." Select "Pop-ups" and select the blocking option that you want to use. Select the "Not to display" option if you want to block all pop-ups. Select the option "Display those that you request" if you want to allow pop-ups for certain websites.
3. Save the changes when you finish. If you chose to block all the pop-ups, you no longer see pop-up advertisements in your web browser.

The faster your connection, the faster you can download the file. If you are behind a firewall, you can specify which port you want Opera's torrent client to use. Once satisfied with the preferences, select "OK."
5. If you always want to use Opera to download your BitTorrent files, select the box for "Remember choice and do not show dialog again" and click "Save." When prompted to select a destination to save the file, choose a folder and select "Save." Opera will begin downloading the torrent in the Downloads tab.
6. Once the download completes, open the Downloads tab and stop the torrent file by select "Stop" from the top left. If you do not stop the torrent, it will continue to upload to other people long after it finishes downloading to your computer.

1. Launch Opera or your favorite Web browser and type the Opera Mail Web URL into the address bar (see Resources below).
2. Scroll down the main page and click the link on the right-hand side that reads, 'Sign up for free Opera Web Mail.'
3. Agree to the terms of service on the next page by clicking on the 'I Accept' link at the bottom left side of the page. Then choose a username by typing it into the text box and clicking the 'Continue' button.
4. Fill in all necessary information such as your name, date of birth and password. Finally, click on 'Sign Me Up' to create your free Opera mail account.

1. Adjust thumbnail settings. Expand and display Opera tabs as thumbnails by double-clicking the drag handle, located at the bottom of the tab bar and marked by three dots. Double-click the drag handle again to collapse the thumbnails. Disable the thumbnail option by right-clicking the tab bar, choosing "Customize," then deselecting the "Enable thumbnails in tabs" option.
2. Adjust tab cycling settings. By default, holding the "Ctrl" key while pressing the "Tab" key lets you cycle through all open Opera tabs in the order they were most recently used. Change this setting by opening the Tab Preferences menu, located under "Preferences" > "Advanced" > "Tabs." You can choose to cycle through tabs in the order they appear on the tab bar, with or without the list appearing on your screen.
3. Adjust tab closing settings. Opera returns to the most recently viewed tab after another closes by default. You can instead choose to view the next tab on the tab bar, or view the first tab opened from the recently closed tab. Adjust these options under the "When closing a tab" heading.
4. Adjust current tab reuse settings. By default, Opera opens panel items in the current tab. Open these items in a new tab by checking the "Reuse current tab" box.
5. Adjust new tab opening settings. Opera adds new tabs to the end of the tab bar by default. Place new tabs next to the active tab by checking the "Open new tab next to active" box.
6. Adjust thumbnail hover settings. Page thumbnails are shown by default when the mouse hovers over a tab. Disable this option by unchecking the "Show thumbnails when hovering tabs" box.
7. Adjust additional tab options. Click the button labeled "Additional tab options." Check the appropriate boxes on this screen to allow windows with no tabs, to minimize tabs when clicked, to show the close button on each tab, and to open windows instead of tabs. To change the size of new tabs, adjust the "New tabs" setting.
8. Save your changes. Click "OK" twice to exit the Preferences menus and save your custom Opera tab settings.

1. Use your "+" and "-" keys to zoom in or out of a website in increments of 10 percent, respectively.
2. Watch the progress bar to keep track of your zooming habits.
3. Consider using special keys on your keyboard to have more control over how zooming operates on a website. Pressing "0" zooms in and pressing "9" zooms out in increments of 10 percent just like using the "+" and "-." If you'd like to zoom in and out by increments of 100 percent, press "8" and "7" respectively.
4. Revert back to the normal text size by pressing "6" or the star key on your keyboard.
5. Manipulate text only by downloading the "zoom-text.js" script. Once you download the script, visit Opera's browser menu and select "Tools," "Preferences," "Advanced," "Content" and "Javascript Options." Point the "User Javascript Files" field to the location of the "zoom-text.js" script. Restart your browser, visit a website and find text zooming options on the bottom right corner of your window.
