When you purchase a Norton product from Norton Online Store, you are asked to enter your Norton Account email address and password. If you enter an incorrect Norton Account password, your order cannot be saved in your Norton Account. You can save this order in your Norton Account later from your order confirmation email that you received from Symantec Corporation [orders@mail.norton.com].
Save your Norton Online Store order
Open your order confirmation email.
You need to access the Norton Account page from your confirmation email. Accessing your Norton Account from your email is the fastest and easiest way to save your order.
If you don't have your Online Store confirmation email, or your order is an Automatic Renewal order, click here for instructions to save your order.
In the confirmation email, under Your Norton Account, click the Norton Account link.
In the Norton Account Web page, type in your Norton Account password, and then click Sign In.
Locate your Product Key
Go to your Norton Account.
On the top-right corner, click Sign In.
Type in your email address and password, and then click Sign In.
Under Products, click Norton product.
Where Norton product is the name of your Norton product.
Product key for that product will be displayed there.
Run LiveUpdate
Start the Norton product.
On the Norton product interface, click Run LiveUpdate.
When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click Close or OK.
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product now has the latest protection updates".
Restart the computer.
Activate your Norton product again.
If the problem persists, go to Step 2.
Make sure that you have the key for your Norton product
Log on to your Norton Account by going to the following Web page:
Type your email address and password.
Click Sign In.
Under Registered Products, click your Norton product.
Write down the Product Key for your Norton product.
Make sure that you have downloaded the correct product
Click the Download button next to your Norton product, and the Save the file on to your Desktop.

If you have upgraded to a new Norton product, then you can disable Norton Automatic Renewal service for your old product which was automatically renewed.
Disable the Norton Automatic Renewal service
Go to your Norton Account.
Type in your Norton Account email address and password, and then click Sign In.
In the Norton Account window, at the top, click Automatic Renewal.
Uncheck the check box for the Norton product for which you want to disable Automatic Renewal.
Click Update.
Your Norton product will prompt you to manually renew your subscription the next time it expires.
Click Back.

Downloading, installing, or transferring your Norton product on another computer is very simple. While installing your Norton product on other computers, please make sure that you are on the computer you want to install on before you start these steps, and also be sure to activate the product each time with the same Product Key.
Download your Norton product with Product Key inserted automatically
Go to your Norton Account.
Type in your email address and password for your Norton Account, then click Sign In.
Next to the Norton product that you want to install on other computers, click DOWNLOAD and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install your product.
If a download button is not available, click the product name, write down the Product Key, and skip to STEP 2.

Click Start Download.
Follow the instructions in the Norton Download Manager page to install the product.
If asked for, enter your Norton Product Key.
Run LiveUpdate
Start your Norton 2012 product.
Click LiveUpdate.
When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK.
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Your Norton product has the latest protection updates".
Exit all the programs, and restart the computer.
If the problem persists, go to Step 2.
Save your Product Key
If you have a CD version, you can find your Product Key at the back of the CD sleeve. For your download purchase, you can find it in the confirmation email from Symantec. If you can locate your Product Key, skip to Step 2.
Log on to your Norton Account.
On the top-right corner, click Sign In.
Type in your email address and password for your Norton Account, and then click Sign In.
Under Products, click the Norton product for which you want to save the Product Key.
Write down the Product Key.
Save your Product Key
If you downloaded your product from your service provider, you do not have a Product Key. Please skip this step and continue with Step 2.
If you have a CD version, you can find your Product Key at the back of the CD sleeve. For your download purchase, you can find it in the confirmation email from Symantec. Once you write down the Product Key, go to Step 2.
Go to your Norton Account.

Download and run the Norton Removal Tool
The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2003 and later products, Norton 360, and Norton SystemWorks 12.0 from your computer. Before you continue, make sure that you have the installation CDs or downloaded installation files for any Norton products that you want to reinstall. If you have pcAnywhere or WinFax, uninstall it using Add or Remove Programs before running the Norton Removal Tool. Also, if you use ACT! or WinFax, back up those databases and uninstall those products.
Download the Norton Removal Tool.
Save the file to the Windows desktop.
On the Windows desktop, double-click the Norton Removal Tool icon.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Restart the computer.
You can download and install your Norton product on other computers depending on the number of licenses you have purchased.
Norton products are sold with multi-user licenses which varies by product and region. To take advantage of your multi-user purchase, activate the product with the same product key.
If you received your Norton product from your service provider, contact them to see how many licenses you are entitled to.
If your Norton product came pre-installed on your computer, you are entitled to install only on one computer until you purchase the subscription. You are entitled to more licenses after you purchase the subscription.
If you are not sure if you can install on additional computers, log on to Norton Account and check under Remaining Activations next to the product you want to install on additional computers.
Run LiveUpdate
Start your Norton 2012 product.
Click LiveUpdate.
When LiveUpdate finishes installing all the updates, click OK.
Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, "Norton LiveUpdate has successfully completed. Your Norton product now has the latest protection updates.".
Restart the computer.
If the problem persists, go to Step 2.
Fix the subscription status
Start your Norton 2012 product.
On the top-right corner of the window, click Support > Subscription Status.
Click Finish.
If you do not find the Subscription Status option, or if the problem persists, go to Step 3.
Save your Product Key
If you have a CD version, you can find your Product Key at the back of the CD sleeve. For your download purchase, you can find it in the confirmation email from Symantec. If you can locate your Product Key, skip to Step 4.
Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
Start your Norton 2012 product.
If you cannot start your Norton product, you can directly go to the Norton Account Web page to save your Product Key.

If you do not have a Norton Account set up already, enter your email address, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
In the Norton Account page, on the top-right corner, click Sign In. Type in your email address and password for your Norton Account, and then click Sign In.
Under Products, click the Norton product for which you want to save the Product Key.
Write down the Product Key.
Sign out of your Norton Account.
Activate your Norton 2012 product
Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
Start your Norton 2012 product.
Next to SUBSCRIPTION STATUS, click Activate Now or Renew.
In the box, type in your Product Key.
If you do not have the box, click I have a key or code to enter, and then type in your Product Key.
Click Next.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
When finished, review your subscription details, and then click DONE.
Restart the computer.
Make sure that you enter the Product Key correctly
Type your Product Key again, exactly as it appears on the back of the CD envelope, or in the confirmation email for your download purchase.
The Product Key has five sets of letters and numbers. Each set contains either four characters or five characters.

Norton Power Eraser is easy to download, and scans your computer quickly to detect the most aggressive computer viruses. You don't need to install this tool.
Norton Power Eraser uses aggressive methods to detect threats, and there is a risk that it can select some legitimate programs for removal. You should carefully review the scan results page before removing files.
If you have purchased a Norton subscription recently, make sure that you have the active subscription product installed on your computer. Go to your Norton Account to find the subscription information for your Norton products.
Find your Norton product subscription
Go to your Norton Account.
After you sign in to your Norton Account, if you are prompted to save your order, click here.
On the Products tab, find the Norton product with active subscription. Depending on your situation, do one of the following.
If you have a different Norton product on your computer, you need to download and install the Norton product with active subscription. Next to your Norton product which has an active subscription, click Download, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the product.
If you cannot find any Norton product with active subscription, then you might have purchased a Renewal Code for your existing Norton product. Read, How to enter the subscription key or renewal code for your Norton product.
Setting up Identity Safe in Norton 360
Start Norton 360.
Click Settings.
Under Detailed Settings, click Identity Protection.
Under Identity Protection, click Configure next to Identity Protection Setup.
If a saved Identity Safe profile is found on your computer, you are asked to enter the Identity Safe password to use the saved profile.
Do one of the following:
To use the existing profile: Enter the password, and then click OK.
Your Identity Safe setup is complete! You can skip next steps.
To create a new profile: In the Create A New Profile window, select the location, and then click OK.
You can select the location as Local or Removable Drive. To create the profile on your local harddisk, select Local and to create a portable profile on your external drive, select Removable Drive. The option for Removable Drive is disabled if you have not connected any external drives.
Enter the password credentials and hint for your password.
In the Profile name box, type a name for your profile.
Select one of the following
If you want Identity Safe to prompt for the Identity Safe password every time you log in to Identity Safe, select Require Identity Safe password at the beginning of each session.
If you want Identity Safe to prompt for the Identity Safe password whenever it tries to autofill any login, select Require Identity Safe password before each Login is filled out.
Click Next.
The Edit Card window opens. You can manage your personal information such as name, date of birth, email address, and credit card information in Identity Safe. Do one of the following:
If you want to create a card in Identity Safe, read the section "Add a card in Identity Safe"
If you do not want to create a card now, click Cancel.
In the Profile Created window, if you want to import the logins that are saved in Internet Explorer, check Import your log-ins from Internet Explorer, and then click OK.
You can now use Identity Safe Options to configure the way that you want Identity Safe to collect and store Web page login information. To manually add a login information in Identity safe, read the section "Add a login manually in Identity Safe".

Start Norton 360.
Click Settings.
Under Detailed Settings, click Identity Protection.
Under Identity Safe, next to Manage Logins, click Configure.
In the Manage Logins window, click New Login.
In the New Login dialog box, type the URL of the Web site or a name for which you want to use this login.
If it is a URL, make sure that you use http as prefix.
Click OK.
In the Username dialog box, type in the login credentials for the Web site, and then click OK.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
You have to set a password for the login that you created.
In the Password field, type in the password for your login, and then click OK.
Add a card in Identity Safe
Start Norton 360.
Click Settings.
Under Detailed Settings, click Identity Protection.
Under Identity Safe, next to Manage Cards, click Configure.
In the Manage Cards window, click Add Card.
On the General tab, type in the card name, name, gender, and date of birth.
You can set a password and provide additional security for your card.
Online form filling is language specific.You should change your region and create a new card before you fill online forms for any other language. By default, the country is set as United States.
On the Contact tab, type in your email address, postal address, and phone numbers.
On the Credit Card tab, select the type of your card from the drop-down menu. Then type in expiration date, card number, security code and card holder's name.
On the Credit Card tab, if you want to update the image for your card, click Update Image.
Norton Internet Security displays a list of images.
Select any image file, and click Open.
Click Save.
