Thanks to both for repsonding, Maybe I should clarify my questions/problem:
I bought a Brand new computer. I copied all of my music (Nero compilations, and other music) from by backup of my old computer documents to my new computers hard drive. I then installed Nero 5 using the original disc.
First Problem: When I tried to open any of Nero compliations I had previously made. It starts to open however, they come up blank saying some files are either missing or have been moved.
Second problem. The program won't or can't access my other music (orignal cd downloads in my music folder). When in the right pane I go to clikc on mu music folder to dispaly my CD's. I get a message "cannot access this folder".
Hopefully this helps. Thanks Again
How to Delete Individual Frames From an AVI File?
http://ask.brothersoft.com/how-to-delete-individual-frames-from-an-avi-file-39527.html
Open the "Nero Burning Rom SE" software program from the Nero Suite menu.
Go to the "ISO" tab From the New Compilation dialog box, and highlight "DVD-ROM (Boot)" format. Then, click the "New" button. (Note: If you are creating a folder for CD-ROM compilations, select "CD" from the pull-down menu within the New Compilation dialog box to bring up the CD-ROM Bootable options.)
Drag and drop your desired files over to the "bootable" area.
Select the appropriate recording device.
Click on the "Burning Compilation" icon on the toolbar.
Click "Burn."
At the "Save As" prompt, name your file.
Click "OK" at the end of the burning process, and then click "Done." (Note: You will also have the option to save or print the log for reference information.)
Give the folder a name at the "Save As" prompt.
Start up "Nero Control Center." Nero Control Center is essentially a separate program installed with Nero, a hub for changing all of the settings of your installed components as well as getting updates. Find this program by selecting "Programs" from the "Start" menu, navigating to the "Nero" folder, and then clicking on "Nero Control Center."
Click on the "License" tab. This brings up a list of all of the patents you've purchased from Nero for all of the additional features you've had activated.
Highlight the patent you want to deactivate or "remove" from Nero 8.
Use your mouse to right click on the patent and select the "Remove" option. This will remove your activation code that will deactivate the feature. Restart the program to save your changes.
Launch Nero and select the "Rip and Burn" tab. Then click on "Burn Data Disk."
Click on "Data DVD" to open the "Disk Content" window. This window is used to add files for burning via the "Add" button with the green "+" sign.
Find the small arrow sign located at the left edge (in the middle) of the "Disk Content" window and click on it. The window will expand.
Click on "Options" located under the "Advanced" list on the left side of the expanded window. It would bring up the "Options" window.
Select the "Expert Features" tab in the "Options" window.
Check the box "Enable DVD overburning" and enter maximum DVD size in Mb (e.g. 4,600) in the corresponding field. Click "OK." It activates the overburning option.
Open Nero Vision.
Click "Make a DVD..." and select "DVD-Video" from the pop-out menu.
Select "Add Video Files" from the box on the right, and select the video or videos you wish to convert from the box that opens. Click the "Next" button in the bottom right of the Nero Vision window.
Customize your DVD Menu using the options in the box in the upper right of the window, then click "Next." You can change options such as the background, the font size and color and the layout of the video options.
Test your menu with the remote that appears on the right side of the screen to see how your menu will function, then click "Next."
Click on the "Write to" option in the box in the upper right, and set it to burn to your DVD-burning drive.
Click on "Volume Name" to name your DVD before burning.
Click the "Burn" button in the bottom right corner of the window.
After placing the CD or DVD to be copied inside your drive, load up Nero Burning Rom. If a window pops up asking you to create a new compilation, go ahead and close that out.
Now click on "Extras" and then "Save Tracks." A window should pop up that lists all of the tracks on the disk, along with their file size and some other information. Depending on the exact version of Nero Burning Rom you are using, "Save Tracks" may also be found under the "Recorder" menu.
If you have multiple CD or DVD drives in your computer, you may also have to choose the correct drive before you start burning the image. This can be done by clicking on "Drive" and "Change Drive" and selecting the appropriate drive.
Change the output file format from NRG to ISO, and choose the file path for the ISO file. NRG is Nero's proprietary disk image format, but it is only compatible with Nero applications. ISO files can be opened by a variety of programs.
Finally, click "Go." The process of copying and compressing your disk into an ISO file will start immediately, and you'll be able to monitor its progress both on each individual track and on the entire disk. Depending on how much data is stored on your disk, the process of outputting the ISO file could take anywhere from 1 minute to a half an hour, and in some cases even longer.
Once you have the ISO file on your hard drive, there are a number of things you can do with it. You can open it with a program such as WinZip or WinRAR to extract the files, or you can burn it directly to another disk for archival purposes. You can even mount the ISO image on your hard drive, which essentially tricks your computer into thinking it is reading from a CD or DVD. In actuality, it is only reading the files from your hard drive.
Start a new project in Nero Vision. Drag and drop the video files for the project, and then click the "Next" button to enter the menu editor. By default, the menu will have a blue DVD disc background and feature each video on the disc as a small square icon.
Click on the drop-down menu in the upper left-hand corner to select a pre-made menu template. Categories include "Animated 3D," "Artificial," "Event" and "Nature." Click on a template to see an automatic preview on the left side of the screen.
Type in the header for the menu. This can include anything such as "Home Movies," "Graduation 2007" or even left empty.
Double-click on the menu to load the "Menu Customizer" screen. A list of tools on the right side will guide users to create different sections of the menu.
Click and drag any of the video icons to the location you want them on the screen. A dotted edge will show the cutoff point for standard and widescreen televisions. Keep the icons away from these points so they show up on most TVs.
Double-click each video icon to change the icon picture. Select either "Photo" or "Video Snapshot" for the icon. Scroll through the video to find an ideal screenshot for the snapshot. Click on the folder link to import a picture for use in the background.
Use the "Layout" sub-menu to select how the icons will display on the DVD menu. The program automatically selects the best size for the amount of video clips, but this can be changed.
Insert a custom audio and background clip by using the "Background" sub-menu. Scroll through and select a pre-made background or import a custom background. Video clips can also be used, but the program will only use 10 seconds of the video.
Change the shape of the video icon buttons in the "Button" sub-menu. Select from shapes and borders such as stars, rectangles, triangles and multiple colors.
Finish the menu by pressing the "Next" button to return to the menu selection window and "Next" again to see a preview of the menu. Use the on-screen remote to select the different menu options and click on "Preview Menu Animation" if any video is included with the menu.
Launch the Nero software suite.
Click the "Burn ISO or Image File" button in the left-most frame of Nero's program window.
Locate and select the image file you wish to burn using the provided navigation dialog box.
Review the bottom of the screen to ensure that your image is not larger than the disk you intend to burn it to.
Insert your blank CD, DVD, or Blu-Ray disc into your recordable drive.
Click the "Burn" button on the lower right corner of the program window.
Review the default settings on the configuration pane as you desire. The Nero software will usually configure the settings for optimal burning.
Click the "Finish" button in the lower-right corner of the application window to begin the burning process. This will cause a new dialog box to appear that will keep you informed of the time remaining on your current burning project. Upon successful completion of the burn process, your recordable drive automatically ejects and a dialog box will appear, informing you that there were no burn errors.
Insert the software disk provided with the Nero DVD/CD rewritable drive. Select the language and click "Application Install."
Select the "Options" tab when the "Settings" box pops up. Click on "Configure Nero Scout on first usage" check box at the bottom left. The program features you selected will be installed.
Select the configuration options you want when the "Nero Scout Options" box pops up, then click "OK."
Configure the Nero Scout options, if this step is missed during the installation process, by going into the "Program files," select "NeroScoutOptions" and configure it on the screen.
Do a search by going to the "Start button" and select "Search." Select "All files and folders" and type "Nero Scout" into the "All or part of the file name:" box and select "Search." Once the search results appear double click on the "Nero Scout" icon and the configuration screen will pop up. You can configure Nero Scout on first usage this way also.
Go to "My Computer" and double-click on "Control Panel".
Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs" to open up the list of installed programs. Wait for the list to be populated.
Find and click on the "Nero" software you want to remove.
Click the "Uninstall" button and follow the prompts that appear to remove the Nero software.
Repeat the above steps for each Nero program you want to remove.
Click on the "File Menu," then "Select Options" and click on the "Miscellaneous" tab.
Scroll down to the "Burning Tree" icon, which is the image of a CD with a burning match.
Click the "Show Real Recorder Write Speed While Burning" check box.
Click the "Expand Arrow" located in the middle of the left side of the window.
Click "Options" and select the "Miscellaneous" tab.
Scroll to the check box "Show Real Recorder Write Speed While Burning" and check it.
Download the Nero uninstaller to your desktop (see Resources).
Right-click the zip file and select "Extract to here." This will extract the program exe. Click the "exe." file.
Place a check next to the Nero products you want installed (you can check them all).
Click the "Clean." button. Wait for the removal to finish.
Click the "Exit." button once the programs have been removed completely. Restart your computer.
