My browser is blocking cookies? 07/19/2011 04:58 by wawaslope: When I sign out my e-mail, I get a message says like "We cannot sign you out because your browser is blocking cookies, then they cannot sign out? To sign, close your browser. what happen? I really don't want to close my browser and sign out every time. How to fix this? HELP??; First answer posted by Kimplex at 07/19/2011 05:03

Safari has three settings for accepting cookies:

-- Always

-- Never

-- Only from sites I visit.

The log out server is not a site you visit. To get safari to accept the cookie for the log out server, you have two choices:

-- Set it to "Always".

-- Use a cookie manager.

"Always" allows tons of tracking cookies, something Safari is rather poor at avoiding in the best of circumstances.

The best cookie manager (and infiltration stopper) is Firefox with NoScript extension. You can set it to accept certain specific cross-scripting moves and specific third-party site cookies. If you prefer Safari, search for "safari cookie manger" in Google or Yahoo.

So, are you using Mac with Safari? You could try this safari cookie manger, http://mac.brothersoft.com/safaricookiecutter.html It will be easier to manage them.
