If the machine will play karaoke from a
USB thumb drive (some will play only mp3 files from these drives) you
would need to rip the song tracks from the CD+G discs to the MP3+G
format with a program like Power CD+G Burner and then copy the MP3+G
files to the thumb drive.
There is no such program at any price. They all work on the same
principle, are only effective on some song tracks, and always degrade
the music quality.
The mic amplifier in your computer doesn't produce enough juice to power your large karaoke microphone. It's more suited to be used with a very small electret mic that requires very little electricity. I suggest you get a mic pre-amp
then plug the mic into the pre-amp, then pre-amp into the 'line in' on
your computer sound port. You may be able to use your karaoke machine as
a pre-amp by using the 'line out' of your machine to the 'line in' of
your computer. U will probably need an RCA to phono adapter cable.
I think that Karaoke would be a great idea. I have just bought this
Karaoke video game that is exactly like American Idol. I am using it
with my PS3, but if you don't have one, I sure there are other games
like that. It would be a lot of fun!
Bette Midler did a tribute to Rosemary Clooney and included this one.
A great place to purchase Karaoke music of any kind is in NYC at Colony Music which is located on Broadway.
I think you can purchase it there. I don't know of any place you can download it. Good Luck!
