IDM advanced integration causes a conflict with some other application. Can I disable it? What is it used for?

  • Advanced integration is used to catch some complex download links. Also for many browsers advanced integration is the only way to catch downloads from them.
    If you use Internet Explorer or FireFox browsers, you can disable advanced integration because IDM has alternative intergation in these browsers.
    If IDM advanced integration has a conflict with some other application, please make sure that you use the latest version of IDM. If this does not help, please tell us about your problem and what application is causing the conflict.

  • Click on Settings (the wrench) and that produces a drop-down menu on which you'll see Options.

  • If the program is in the system tray look for its icon and right click "exit" or "close" if that will not work open task manager hold ctrl and alt and delete down to display the task manager and end the program.
