  • Hey, there. You don't have to remove microsoft photo editor. Just set PhotoImpact as your default program to open pictures. Follow these steps:
    1. Go to a picture and right click.
    2. Select Open With ... another program.
    3. Browse to PhotoImpact and select it
    4. Click on the check box at the bottom that says something like "Always open with this application".
    5. Click Ok.
Now, all photos should open with PI3.

  • To remove microsoft photo editor:

    1. Put the Microsoft Office XP CD into your computer's CD drive.
    2. Click the "Start" button.
    3. Click "Run."
    4. Enter "[drive]:\Setup.exe" in the "Open" dialog box. The drive is the letter of the CD drive. This will launch the setup screen.
    5. Go to "Maintenance Mode Options."
    6. Click "Add or Remove Features -- Change Which Features Are Installed or Remove Specific Features." Select "Next."
    7. Select "Office Tools" under the "Features to Install" heading. This will expand the Office XP components
    8. Select "Microsoft Photo Editor."
    9. Select "Not Available" to remove it. Click "Update."
    10. Wait while your computer completes the update. Click "OK."
