Set up your slide projector and display your slides on a screen.
Snap a full image of the slide with your digital camera.
Connect your digital camera to the computer via any USB port.
Click "Start," select "Computer," and click on the letter of your digital camera.
Drag and drop the photo of the slide to a location on your hard drive.
Go to <a href="http://www.gophoto.com/photo-scanning-service?ref=askbr">GoPhoto.com</a> - photo scanning, slide scanning and negative scanning done in the U.S. Best part is that the scans are put into online albums for review, and you only pay for the scans you keep - so no risk of paying for a bunch of mystery slides with random people on them.
You can send the carousels or just loose slides. No need to organize upfront.
