Google Docs synchronization with Basecamp is implemented by cloudHQ service ( http://cloudHQ.net ).
The cloudHQ service tries to completely integrate Basecamp, Dropbox, SugarSync into Google Docs.

I also recommend you checkout cloudHQ service. Real time and continuos synchronization by cloudHQ will keep track of files for changes and copy files with a very short delay after the change has occurred. http://cloudHQ.net
