Visit the Metacafe.com website and create a free account if you do not already have one. Log in to your Metacafe account with your username and password.
Open a new tab or window in your Web browser. Navigate to the YouTube website and find a video you want to submit to your Metacafe account.
Highlight the URL address of the YouTube video to import to your Metacafe account. Click "Edit," then "Copy" on your browser menu bar -- or press the "Ctrl" + "C" keys.
Go back to the tab or window displaying your Metacafe account page. Click the "Submit" button at the top of the page.
Position the mouse cursor inside the "Enter a Video Page Address" field. Press the "Ctrl" + "V" keys to paste the webpage URL for the YouTube video into the field. Click the "Submit URL" button and wait a few seconds for Metacafe to import the video from YouTube.
Enter a name for the video in the "Title" field, then type a brief description of the clip in the "Description" box. Select the language spoken in the video in the "Language" drop-down list.
Select the age "the video is suitable for" based on the criteria shown in the category descriptions. Select two video categories for the video from the list. If the video is country or language specific, select the language and relevant country in the "Video Language" and "Country Relevance" drop-down lists.
Click the "Next" button. Select a thumbnail from the auto-generated images to display with the video. Enter related links and their titles if applicable. Click the "Done" button. Metacafe uploads the video and displays its thumbnail in the video categories you selected.
