Open a new browser window and navigate to the link in Resources, where you will find a number of download options.
If your personal computer is running Windows 2000/XP/Vista or later, download the file titled "DivX codec v6.8.5 for Windows XP/2000/Vista (32-bit) (20.1MB)"
If your personal computer is running an earlier version of the Windows OS, such as Windows ME or '98, choose the download option titled "DivX codec v5.2.1 for Windows ME/98 (7.3MB)"
If you have an Apple personal computer running the Mac OS X environment, choose the download option titled "DivX codec v6.7 for Mac OS X (13.5MB)"
If you have an Apple personal computer running an older Macintosh environment, such as Mac OS 8.1 or 9.4, choose the download option titled "DivX codec v5.1.1 for Mac OS (2.1MB)"
When you have download the correct installation file, run the installer from your download folder and follow the instructions on-screen.
When the installer has finished, restart your computer. From now on, you will be able to play any DivX encoded AVI videos in Windows Media Player and the newly installed DivX Video Player
