Mount the NRG file with Nero ImageDrive, which you can access through Nero StartSmart. If you created the NRG file yourself and already have Nero on your computer, this is the easiest option.
Mount the NRG file with a free disc image mounting program that supports the NRG format, such as MagicDisc, Daemon Tools Lite or Gizmo Drive (see Resources). If you don't want to purchase Nero just to mount an NRG file or two, these free programs will do the trick.
Convert the NRG file to ISO using the freeware application NRG2ISO. Mount the ISO file using free ISO mounting software, such as Virtual CloneDrive, ISODisk or Mount ISO Files Virtually (see Resources). If you already have an ISO mounting program that doesn't read NRG files and don't want to install another disc image mounting program, converting the file will allow you to open it.
