How to make QuickTime player my default player?

07/26/2011 08:35 by wawaslope

I want to set QuickTime player as the default player. Not for all files, but for .3g2 files. I still use another player at the same time. How to make QuickTime player my default player without open all files with it? Thanks for your help.

  • Right-click on the file, then click Properties. Under the general tab, across from Opens with, click Change. If QuickTime player isn't listed there, click Browse then go down and open the folder Quicktime. Then double-click on the little icon that says QuickTimePlayer, click Ok, then click Apply then Ok.

  • Go to your control panel/folder options.
Click on file types and scroll down to .3g2.
Click on it once and click on the change button.
Locate Quicktime Player in the list
Click apply/ok and it should remember the program
