How to make QuickTime player my default player? 07/26/2011 03:35 by wawaslope: I want to set QuickTime player as the default player. Not for all files, but for .3g2 files. Right-click on the file, then click Properties. Under the general tab, across from Opens with, click Change. If QuickTime player isn't listed there, click Browse then go down and open the folder Quicktime. Then double-click on the little icon that says QuickTimePlayer, click Ok, then click Apply then Ok.

open my documents or windows explorer. on the tool bar on top open the tools menu and click on the folder options. then click on the file types menu. find your .3g2 or whatever you want and change the program it opens with to QuickTime.

- load quicktime player - click edit (at the top) - preferences - quick time preferences - click file types (at the top) - then tick mpeg - (you can tick others if you want to)

select which file types you wish to associate with quicktime.

Go to your control panel/folder options.
Click on file types and scroll down to .3g2.
Click on it once and click on the change button.
Locate Quicktime Player in the list
Click apply/ok and it should remember the program
