How to make Opera open a new tab without auto-switching to that new tab?

When I open a new tab from a link, Opera auto-switch to this new tab. How can I stop this?? Anyone know how to handle this?? Appreciate your helps.

  • Right click the link and then choose "open in background tab" instead of clicking on"open in new tab".

    1. Nightlight and Ctrl + C to copy the link.
    2. Hold Ctrl + T to open a new tab.
    3. Ctrl+v or just paste the link on the address bar. Enter.
