Click on Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound, then click on "AutoPlay."
Open the drop down menu for "DVD movie" and/or "Enhanced DVD movie"
Click "Save" to save your AutoPlay settings. Windows Media Player will now load and play your DVD movie as soon as it is inserted.
Click on Start > My Computer, then right click on the desired CD/DVD drive and select "Properties."
Open the "AutoPlay" tab, then select "DVD movie" from the drop down menu.
Click on "Select an action to perform," then click on "Play DVD Video using Windows Media Player." Windows Media Player will now be initialized as soon as a DVD movie is inserted.
