Go to the Facebook website at facebook.com. Type your email address and password in the respective text fields in the upper right corner to log in to your Facebook account. Click "Log In" to access your main page.
Navigate to the area where you want to post text with a strikethrough. You can add the strikethrough to your Facebook profile, the wall of a contact or in a private message to another person.
Type "<s>" before entering the text that you would like to strike out. Enter the word or phrase. Type "</s>" after entering your text. This command will end the striked text. You do not need to add a space between your text and the HTML code.
Click "Send" or "Save," depending on where you have entered the message. The text that you typed between the two HTML commands appears with a horizontal line through it.
