Create a new image in Paint Shop by selecting "File" and "New" from the toolbar. The "New Image" dialog box opens.

Customize your settings or use the following settings: 400 by 400 pixels for the image dimensions and a transparent background color. Click "OK."

Go to the Tool palette and click the "Selection" tool. Select a shape from the "Selection type" drop-down list in the Tool Options palette.

Draw the shape on your canvas and release your mouse when you have the correct size.

Select the "Flood Fill" tool from the Tool palette. Pick a fill color for the shape from the color palette and click within the shape to add the color.

Click the "Mover" tool from the Tool palette and drag the shape where you'd like it to go on the canvas.

Select "Effects" from the toolbar and pick an effect you want to apply to the shape. Play with different effects until you have one you like.

Pick the "Text" tool from the Tool palette to add text to your company logo. Click the area where you want the text to appear. A "Text Entry" dialog box opens. Type your text into the text pad and click "Apply." Go to the Tool Options palette to customize the font, style and size.

Select "File" and "Save" from the toolbar to save the logo. Name the image in the "Save As" dialog box and click "Save."
