  • Install QuickTime 7 Pro
    1. Open your Internet browser and visit QuickTime 7 Pro's download page for Mac OS X users (see Resources). Click the "Buy Now" button on the right side of the screen.

    2. Fill out Apple's purchase form, following the on-screen prompts. Enter your email address into the proper field, as Apple emails you an QuickTime Pro upgrade code.

    3. Open your email from Apple containing your QuickTime 7 Pro registration code.

    4. Launch QuickTime Player. Click the "QuickTime" tab and select "Preferences." Enter the 20-digit registration code and fill out the QuickTime 7 Pro form. Click "OK" to enable QuickTime 7 Pro.

    Insert Audio
    1. Click "File" and select "Open File..." to enter a pop-up search screen. Locate the QuickTime movie you want audio added to and open it in QuickTime.

    2. Open your audio track in a new QuickTime window by clicking "File" and selecting "Open File..." Highlight your audio track in the Finder window and click "Open."

    3. Copy your entire audio track by clicking the "Edit" tab at the top of the screen and selecting "Select All." Click "Edit" and select "Copy."

    4. Copy selected parts of your audio by dragging your playhead along the audio's timeline to the desired "in" point and pressing "I" on your keyboard. Choose your "out" point and press "O" on your keyboard. The section between your "in" and "out" points is now highlighted. Press "Edit" and select "Copy" or hold down the "Apple" key on your keyboard and press "C."

    5. Click on your video's player window. Add your audio to the entire movie by clicking "Edit" and selecting "Add."

    6. Add your audio to a different section of the movie by dragging the video playhead to your desired "in" point, pressing "Edit" and selecting "Paste." Add audio to a specific portion of video by finding your "in" point and pressing "I" on your keyboard. Repeat for your "out" point so the section between is highlighted. Click "Edit" and select "Add to Selection and Scale."

    7. Click "File" and select "Save" or "Save As..." Name your new file and click "Save" to save your changes.
