How to get left hand pane on control panel displayed?

Attempting to change my control panel view to classic, but there is no left hand panel display in order to change the view. I have XP Home. how to fix this?

  • i was wondering where i can find tools in the control panel because i have searched through the whole thing and can't find it

  • Tools is located under the Control Panel title bar. You should see File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools and Help.

  • Here is the solution:

    control panel go into tools in top bar open general, click show common tasks in folders and apply done.
