    1. Click the "Firefox" icon in the upper corner of your browser window, then select the "Help" menu. If you are using an older version of Windows, click the "Help" menu.
    2. Choose "Troubleshooting Information" from the Help screen. Locate the "Application Basics" section, and select "Open Containing Folder." Close your Firefox browser once the file folder opens.
    3. Right-click "persdict.dict," and select "Open With." Choose "Wordpad" in the menu. Locate the word you want to remove in the list, highlight it and press "Delete." Click "File," and choose "Save" to update the dictionary file.
