    1. Open the Microsoft Access 2007 database file on your computer that you want to create a custom ribbon in.

    2. Right-click on the top navigation bar and then click the "Navigation Options" button. Click the "Show System Objects" check box so that it's select, and then click the "OK" button.

    3. Select the "Create" tab and then click the "Table Design" option from the "Tables" group. Enter the "Field Name," "Type" and "Field Size" into the first three column headers of the table.

    4. Enter "ID," "AutoNumber" and "Long Integer" into the three columns of the second row. Enter "RibbonName," "Text" and "255" into the third row of columns. Enter "RibbonXml" and "Memo" into the last row of columns.

    5. Click the "ID" field and then select the "Design" tab. Click the "Primary Key" option and then select the "Save" option from the Quick Access toolbar. Enter "USysRibbons" into the "File Name" field, and click the "Save" button.

    6. Right-click on the "USysRibbons" table from the navigation pane and click the "Datasheet View" option from the shortcut menu. Enter "(AutoNumber)" into the "ID" field and then enter "My Tab" into the "RibbonName" field.

      </group>

      </tab>

      </tabs>

      </ribbon>
