How to Convert PDF Documents Into OCR

    1. Open a PDF document with Adobe Acrobat.

    2. Select the "Document" option from the top navigation bar.

    3. Select "Recognize Text Using OCR."

    4. Click the "Start" option.

    5. Select the page or pages to scan, and then click "OK." The OCR engine will proceed through the document. At each questionable word, the OCR engine will provide a text window for input.

    6. Type the changes into the text boxes, or accept the OCR interpretation as prompted. Proceed through the document until all text has been recognized.

    7. Click the "File" option from the top navigation bar and select the "Save" option to save the changes to the PDF. The PDF document is now searchable and readable by text-reading applications.
