How to Convert MKV to VOB with Subtitle?

I want to play burn .vob on DVD, but I just have .mkv and .Srt. How can I convert .mkv to .vob with subtitles.

  • Launch Format Factory. Click Audio on the left of the window, then choose the All to VOB on the vedio tab.
    Drag the .mkv file to the window like the following image shown us.
    Click Output Setting, click the buton on the right of the Addtional Subtitle to find the subtitle of the movie.
    Click Broswe to select the Output Folder. I select the desktop. Click OK when everything is ready.
    At the main window, click start to convert the file. In several seconds, it will prompt you the conversion is completed.

  • You can search the forum for methods of inserting subtitles into vob files. As I don't do much work with subtitles I don't have much direct experience to offer. Also if you are planning on actually creating a normal dvd with the vob you can extract the subtitles from the mkv and then insert them with a dvd authoring program that imports subtitles. I think there is something like mkvextractor or some such program for doing that.

  • do you want a standard dvd? Then use dvd flick or convertxtodvd, if they don't find the subs then extract the subtitles from the mkv using mkvextract first and load manually in those apps.

  • Use Aimersoft Video converter.

    Step 1 Add MKV files
    Click “Add” button on the top tool bar and locate where your MKV files are stored. Select the desired files and add them to the program. Or you may simply drag and drop the selected file to the tool. The imported file will be listed on the main panel.
    Video Converter-Import
    Step 2 Select output format
    Now you may want to select the output format by clicking “Profile” button. You can select whatever video/audio format you want from the drop down list. To convert MKV to VOB, you may go to Common Video > DVD Video Format (VOB). mkv-to-vob
    Step 3 Add subtitles (Optional)
    Click on Edit, switch to "Plug-in Subtitle" tab, check the box of "Enable the plug-in subtitle" and find your MKV subtitles and add them to the tool. The supported subtitle files are .srt, .ass, and .ssa.

    Besides, you may also use this software to crop video, clip video, etc.
    Step 4 Convert MKV to VOB
    Wanna customize the output folder? You may click “Browse” button to do that. Click “Start” button to start the MKV to VOB conversion.
