    1. Download Able2Extract Professional 5.0 (see Resources). This program is linked to directly from Microsoft as a trusted converter for HTML documents. The converter will work well even for complex HTML files. The software is available for a free trial download; for long-term usage, you'll need to purchase a license to the software.

    2. Install Able2Extract Professional 5.0 by double-clicking on the downloaded "InstallAble2ExtractPro.exe" file. Click through the on-screen prompts to complete the install procedure.

    3. Open the installed Able2Extract program and select the HTML file you want to convert. Click to convert the file to a Microsoft Word document. Your final result will still be a PDF, but first you'll need to get a text version of your HTML file saved on your computer.

    4. Open the recently converted file in Microsoft Word with a PDF converter add-on installed.

    5. Click the "Office" button located at the very top left-hand corner of the MS Word window (in the Word 2007 version).

    6. Mouse over the "Save As" option. This will pop up additional options, including "PDF or XPS." Click on this option. By default, the dialogue box that pops up will be set to PDF; type in the desired file name for your PDF file.

    7. Click "Save" to confirm the final conversion of the document into PDF format. Your former HTML file is now in PDF format.
