Open the Trend Micro window by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Trend Micro Internet Security" and "Trend Micro Internet Security" or by double-clicking the "Trend Micro" icon in your system tray.
Click "Personal Firewall Controls" at the left side of the Trend Micro Internet Security window.
Click "Settings" under the "Personal Firewall" header at the right side of the Trend Micro Internet Security window.
Click the "Advanced Settings" button.
Click the "Program Control" tab at the top of the Advanced Settings window.
Click the "Add" button.
Type a name for the program in the "Description" box, for example "Pidgin IM."
Click "Browse" to the right of "Target," browse to the "C:\Program Files\Pidgin" folder on your computer and double-click "pidgin.exe."
Click "Allow" to the right of "Firewall Response."
Click "OK" twice.
