    1. Click the "Finder" icon in the computer's dock, followed by the "Applications" folder icon. Double-click the "GarageBand" application icon to launch the application.

    2. Click the "New Project" option, followed by the "Voice" option. Click the "Choose" button to continue.

    3. Type a name for the new project in the space labeled "Save As" and click the "Create" button to create the new project.

    4. Click the "Male Basic" option if you are going to be recording a male's voice. Click the "Female Basic" option if you are going to be recording a female's voice.

    5. Click the "Record" button to begin recording. Sing or speak into the computer's built-in microphone and the GarageBand application will capture your voice. When you are finished, click the "Record" button a second time to stop recording.

    6. Click the "Audio Region" button in the bottom-left corner of the application window. Slide the "Enhanced Tuning" slider all the way to the right to the "100" position.

    7. Place a check mark next to the "Limit to Key" option.

  • Below is what I have learn about AutoTune in GarageBand:

    1. Open GarageBand, and open up a new project. Click on the voice tab, and name your project. Choose either the male or female basic track. Next, you’ll need to record a few notes. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t a great singer. AutoTune will make you sound fantastic.
    2. select the little button near the bottom-left that looks like a pair of scissors. You’re going to edit a part of the track that does not have your singing in it. Remove everything prior to - and after - your voice. Choose your desired volume.
    3. Go to the Advanced Tuning slider bar, and pull it all the way to 100. This will give you the full T-Pain effect. Choose to limit it to the key or not, and change the pitch if you like.

  • See this trick:
    1. Open GarageBand, go to the Track menu and create a "New Basic Track."
    2. At the bottom left of the window, click on the icon that has scissors. This is the Track Editor.
    3. Slide the Enhance Tuning to 99 (max) and check the box next to "Limit to Key."
    4. Now that you got the basic autotune effect, you can play with sound effects by clicking the "i" icon to the right of the master volume control. Click "Vocals" and try out effects that you like.
