To burn a regular MP4 file to a DVD using Nero:

1. Open the Nero Vision DVD-authoring program on your computer. You can do this by either clicking on the icon on your desktop or clicking on the Start Menu and choosing Nero Vision from your list of programs.
2. Insert a blank DVD into your computer's DVD-Rom drive.
3. Start a new project by clicking "Data" in the Nero Vision window. Choose "Data Disc" from the list of available DVD-burning options.
4. Click the "Add" button and select the MP4 file you wish to burn to the DVD. After you have selected your file and it shows up in the window on the right side of the screen, click the "Next" button at the bottom of the screen.
5. Click the "Burn" button. The DVD will take several minutes to burn. A window will pop up at the end indicating that your disc has finished burning. Click the "OK" button.

If you have a DVD player that is capaple of playing back "Data" disks than use Nero to burn the MP4 as a data disk.

I kind of think the issue here is that a MP4 isn't a great type of filetype to be burning to a DVD, as you can see from the responses, Change to .Avi with Super - seems all answers are right on.

I find I can play Mp4's on my DVD PLAYER, not a Computer, using a Flash thumb drive if you have a USB input. There's so many ways to skin a cat!

If you want to play the burned DVD on DVD player, you have to convert your mp4 files to video DVD format(VIDEO_TS) then burn to a DVD disk.
