How do I watch YouTube Videos on Maxthon Web Browser?

09/08/2011 02:20 by ScottHamman

I have a problem. I go to YouTube and try to watch a video. Its says I need to install Flash Player which I do have installed. When I try to download it from the website, Maxthon wouldn't let me. I get a yellow bar on the top that says "Your security setting do not allow wbsites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly."

  • when installing flash player... ensure maxthon is not running else it may not get registered with the player.
you need adobe flash player 9... install it into your webrowser.. just click on the non-functional video show on the browser, and you'll be transferred to a download site

  • Try downloading the standalone installer and execute while maxthon is closed. http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html If you need more help, try to specify your system and browser specs like version number of maxthon,  IE version, and Windows version.

  • Make sure you haven't got any ad filters/firewalls blocking it. I remember incidents where one of these was preventing the loading

  • Downloaded the Java Uninstaller at  http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157 and re-installed Java, it's something wrong with JAVA I guess.

  • Does flash work correctly in Internet Explorer? If not, I think you should fix the your Java.
