How do I restore openoffice.org to default settings without losing my written work?

Having lost the ability to make dashes (which i use often in writing), I've decided it would be easiest to restore openoffice to it's default settings...but can't figure out how?

  • I would say just reinstall it - that shouldn't affect your documents as it only replaces the program i think?
