How do I overlay Text with ManyCam and use it on Omegle? 10/09/2011 04:38 by LindaRodrigues: I don't have a camera but i'd like to display text during the video chat and be able to edit it during the chat. I heard manycam will help. then I download and install ManyCam on my computer. how to use manycam on omegle? 1. Close the Omegle website if you have it open in your browser and then launch ManyCam.
2. Click ManyCam's "Sources" tab at the top of the program's window. Select the source you want to display from ManyCam's left pane. Select "Cameras" to use your physical webcam. Select "Movies" to broadcast a video, and then click the "Open New File(s)" button to select the video you want to play. Click "Still Images" to display a static image, and then click the "Open New File(s)" button to select an image. Click "Desktop" if you want to broadcast a portion of your desktop, and then click "Full Desktop" to show your entire desktop or "Custom Desktop" to select a specific area or window with your mouse.
3. Click the "Effects" tab if you want to apply any special effects to your selected source. Click "Objects" in the left pane's list to add an animated object to your source. You can select a face mask, country flag icons, virtual signs or holiday items, and click the object to add it to the source. Select "Backgrounds" in the left pane to put a static or dynamic background on your source, and then click the background to apply it. Click "Effects" in the left pane to alter the color of your stream or to give the stream a shrinked, mirrored or other distorted effect. Browse through the various effects and click the one you want to use.
4. Click "Close" at the bottom of the ManyCam's window after you finish configuring your source and effects.
5. Launch your Web browser and navigate to the Omegle website. Click the blue "Video" button under "Start a Chat." Click the "Allow" button on the Adobe Flash prompt that appears, and then select "ManyCam Virtual Camera" from the "Camera" drop-down list at the bottom of your video stream on the right side of the page. All future chats on the website will use ManyCam as the default camera.

Well ManyCam just serves as an alternative and virtual webcam. The most popular use of ManyCam is to overlay effects or text over an existing web cam source. However in ManyCam can change the source to be: another webcam, your desktop, a picture, or just a color.

So you would just change the source to a color, the put whatever text you want to put, and when you are on Omegle, or anywhere else, just select the ManyCam virtual cam as your webcam.

I had a problem to use ManyCam. It worked just fine on ChatRoulette but not on Omegle.

Make sure you have enable "adobe player" in omegle.

In Omegle, choose the "Allow" option in the Adobe Flash Player Settings window. In the "Camera" dropdown list that appears in the video window, choose ManyCam Virtual Webcam or ManyCam Video Source.

I have same problem the manycam not work good with Omegle , i found other free program the name SplitCam http://www.splitcamera.com and program much better than manycam , i recommend it.
