1. Log in to your MySpace account at MySpace.com. Log in to your account by entering your email address and password. You can also create an account by clicking the "Sign Up" link near the top of the page.
2. Discover music you like. Click the "Music" tab on the top navigation menu. Search for music by entering your search interests in the "Search for your favorite music..." text box. Enter an artist's name, song or album and click "Search." You can also browse music by popular music, genre or "Only on MySpace."
3. Select songs you enjoy. Click the play button to review songs that interest you. If you would like to add a song to your profile, click the "Add" button on the right side of the song. The add button looks like a plus sign. This will open the "Add to playlist" form.
4. Choose a playlist. The default playlist for new users is "My Profile Playlist." Select "My Profile Playlist" or create a new one by typing the name of your playlist in the "Create a new playlist" text box. Click "OK."
5. Review your media player. Return to your profile by pointing to "Profile" on the top navigation menu and clicking "View my profile." Your new media player will appear. Click the play button to review the song you added.
