How do I get my iMesh songs into my iTunes library?

09/08/2011 04:03 by Chrislo102

Every time I try to import the files a little message pops up saying that it can't convert the WMA files. Is iMesh even compatible w/ iTunes? How do I get the songs into my iTunes library? Someone please help!

  • Try this

1 Find your iMesh music library by clicking "Settings" at the top of the iMesh software and choosing "Preferences." In the resulting window, press "Library & Downloads." The location of your iMesh music folder is listed under "Save my iMesh downloads in:."
    2 Quit the iMesh software.
3 Double-click "My Computer" on your Windows desktop or select it from within your Windows Start menu. Navigate to your iMesh music folder.
4 Open the iTunes music software. Drag and drop the iMesh music folder into the iTunes window. The software will import all of your iMesh tracks. Alternatively, click "File" at the top of iTunes and select "Add to Library." In the resulting window, navigate to your iMesh folder, click it and push "Choose."
5 Connect your iPod to your computer using its included USB syncing cable. The iPod will automatically sync with iTunes, transferring the files you just imported into iTunes onto the music player. Press the "Eject" icon next to the iPod's icon in iTunes once the syncing process is complete.

  • Step 1: Add files
You can either click the "Add..." button to select files from your computer or drag the files to the software interface. If you want to add all the DRM-ed files on your computer, you can right click "Add..." and choose "Find DRM" to let the software automatically load all the DRM-protected files on your computer hard drive.
Step 2: Select the output format and output path
Since MP3 is highly supported by iTunes, here you can choose "MP3" as the output format under "Audio files to". If you like, you can click "Settings" to change the sample rate, bit rate, encoder, etc. And under "Output path", click "Browse" to select a folder to save the converted files.
Step 3: Start the iMesh WMA to iTunes MP3 conversion
OK, when all is done, you can click the "Start" button on the right bottom to start converting iMesh songs to iTunes MP3. When the conversion finishes, you can click "Find Target" to locate the converted MP3 files. The are DRM-free and you can add them to your iTunes library for syncing with iPod, iPhone and iPad.
