Help with Hotspot shield?

I tried to use hotspot shield but i failed so i removed it from my pc, but my pc wont connect now to the internet! What i know about this software is that it changes ip address, so is this the problem? How can i solve it? Thanks!

  • Open a command prompt (Start, Run, type CMD), then type the following (in order)... 
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew

  • Seems the hotspot shield haven't been removed completely.

    I suggest you to download CCleaner or any other registry remover to clean up your computer registry.

  • Cleaning up Hotspot Shield is necessary, but the most important thing is to reset your IP address. Follow this:
    1. Opening the Windows Command Prompt located in Start -> Accessories orStart -> Run -> Type in either "cmd" or "cmd.exe"
    2. Type in "ipconfig /release"
    3. After releasing the IP, typie in "ipconfig /renew"

  • You might forget the original Ip. Never mind, set the computer to receive the correct IP itself.
    1. Go Start -> Control Pannel, Network and Dial Up Connections.
    2. Go to your local area connection(the network connection you're using)
    3. Click "Properties"
    4. Click "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)"
    5. Then again click "Properties"
    6. click "Obtain an IPv6 address automatically."
    7. Ok.
