GOM Player subtitles question?

07/20/2011 04:38 by KatyAmeglio

I'm watching a movie via GOM Player. I found that the subtitles doesn't match the movie. The subtitles did show the same content of this movie but it's around half a minute delayed. How to fix this?

  • Faster the subtitle in this way:
    1. Right click anywhere on the player.
    2. Select Subtitles
    3. Then select the 0.5 sec faster.

  • Right click on the screen, go to Subtitle. Adjust your subtitles there.

  • GOM Player
    1. Search the movie's subtitles online, download it to your computer.
    2. Then add it to the gom player.
      • Open GOM Player and Press "F5" to display the "Preferences" window.
      • Click the "General" tab and put a check mark next to "Show Subtitles."
      • Click the "Subtitle" tab. GOM Player will display the subtitle settings. Click the drop-down arrow next to "Font" to select a font. Click the "Up" and "Down" arrows next to the "Size" button to set the font size.
      • Click "Bold" if you want bold subtitles. Locate the section named "Subtitle Color & Opacity." Adjust the sliders in that section to control the color and opacity of the subtitles.
      • Click the "Quality" drop-down box and select a quality setting. The choices are "Smoothen" and "Default."
      • Adjust the position and spacing of the subtitles by setting the values in the "Subtitle Position & Spacing" section. Click the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys next to the appropriate boxes to control horizontal position, vertical position, margins and character spacing.
      • Click the "Subtitle Directory" tab at the top of the window. Put a check mark next to "Look for subtitle files from the folders below first" if you want GOM Player to search additional folders for subtitle files. Enter the location of those folders in the text box. For example, if you want GOM Player to check the "C:\mySubtitles" folder, enter "C:\mySubtitles" in the text box and click "Add."
      • Click "Close" to close the "Preferences" window.

  • Try this firstly, Turn on Subtitles in GOM player.

    1. Click the "GOM" logo in the upper-left corner of the main GOM Player interface.
    2. Mouse over the menu option reading "Subtitles."
    3. Click the "Show Subtitles" option. This will enable the subtitles for a video file, causing them to immediately display on screen.
    4. Increase the size, spacing and position of the subtitles using the options in the "Subtitles" drop-down menu. If you want to move the subtitles farther down the screen, for example, select the "Down by 2%" option. If you want to increase the font size of the subtitles select the "Enlarge Font Size" option.
