GIMP

1. Select the source using selection tool for clone tool.
2. Choose a soft fuzzy paintbrush. Hold the Ctrl key pressed and click with Gimp's clone tool on a clean spot near the blemish that you are retouching to use this clean spot as a source for the clone tool.
3. After you have chosen the source for the clone tool, you can paint with the source over the blemish that you are editing in order to remove, retouch or fix it in a photo.

1. Have your image. This one is a picture of a cute puppy, a black cat with, apparently, no features, and someone's messed up bed. What we really want is a close up of the little dog.
2. Click on the crop tool in Gimp. It looks like an X-Acto knife.
   • This opens up the crop tool options just below all of the toolbar icons.
3. If you are unsure of exactly how you want to do it, start making choices and see what happens. You can always undo. Here, the selection was created by clicking on the approximate center and then moving outwards. This keeps it more, or less, centered.
4. If you want to use guides, you can. This will help you with classic guides that are used in art and photography.
   • In this image, the rule of thirds guide has been used. Note that the puppy's eyes are at the top line.
5. Once you have it where you want it, double click inside of the selected area.

1. Use the Selection tool, either round or square or however you have made the selection.
2. Click on Image >> Crop to Selection.
3. Export the image into the required format.

1 Open GIMP.

2 Create a new document. Click on 'File', click on 'New' and finally click on 'OK'.

3 Open the Type tool. Click on the black "A" in the Toolbox window.

4 Type "Google". Use the Catull font at a size of 120 pixels. If you do not have this font, download it. (in Sources and Citations)

5 Convert the text into an image. Right click on the text layer and then click "Discard Text Information".

6 Change the color of the letters and lock the transparency.

• Select the G's and change their color to blue.
• Select the first "o" and the "e" and change their color to red.
• Select the second "o" and change its color to yellow.
• Select the "l" and change its color to green.
• Unlock transparency when you have finished this.

7 Prepare the logo for bump-mapping. Duplicate the layer that contains the Google logo, lock transparency and fill the layer with black.

8 Unlock transparency and then do a Gaussian blur of 10 px.

9 Delete the "Background" layer.

10 Add a shadow.

• Duplicate the layer that contains the Google logo, lock transparency and fill the layer with black.
• Unlock transparency and then do a Gaussian blur of 10 px. Send the layer to the back.
• Then move the logo 3 pixels from its original location (press the right arrow key 3 times, and do the same for the down arrow key).
• Change the shadow's opacity to 50.0.

11 Bump-map the logo. Select the layer that contains the colored Google logo and bump map it using the following parameters:

• Azimuth: 90
• Elevation: 45
• Depth: 7
• Leave X offset, Y offset, Waterlevel and Ambient at their defaults.

1. Take 2 pieces of different color gimp.The first piece are the working strands and the second piece is the inner string.You take the second piece and make a small loop in the middle and hold it.
2. Then you take the working strands and put it side ways, middle behind the bottom of the loop.After you do that you take the right strand and toss it over to the over side and you make a very small hole in the right side with out letting go.(Don't forget to hold on to the right strand after tossing it over.)
3. Next you do something very similar-- you take the left strand and put it through the hole on the right.
4. You got your first stitch.

1. Open your Poser render in GIMP. This will open your Poser render in a new window.

2. Go to the Layers drop-down menu and choose Add a New Layer. Then name that layer "Rain." Hit enter or select OK. In order to see the Layers box, you will need to go to the Dialogs drop-down menu and and choose Layers.

3. In the Layers box, you will notice there is an eye to the left of each layer. Click on the eye next to the one labeled Background, which is the one with your Poser render. This will make your Background layer invisible, and you will see that the Rain layer is just a white-and-gray checkered box. This is normal.

4. Go back to the main GIMP page and select the picture of the paint bucket. Underneath and to the right of it are two squares, one on top of the other. Click on the first one (the one on top); this will bring up a color wheel, from which you will choose a color to apply to the rain layer.

5. Select white from the color wheel, then go back to the rain layer and add the color so the square is now white.

6. Go to the Filters drop-down menu and select Noise, then Scatter RGB. Make sure your Red, Green and Blue settings are at 0.63 and your Alpha setting is 0. Select OK.

7. Go back to the Filters drop-down menu and select Blur and Motion. Select Linear for your Blur Type and set the Length at 10 and the Angle at 135. Select OK.

8. Go back to the Layers box and reselect Background where your Poser render is.

9. In the Layers box, change the rain layer's mode to Mulitiply. This will allow you to see the rain in your Poser render.

10. Save your image with a new name so you don't save over your original Poser render, to which you might want to add other effects later.
