Connect the USB cable to the Flip video camera and an empty USB port on the computer. When the "AutoPlay" window appears, click the "View your Flip Videos" option.
Review the License Agreement and then click the check box labeled "I have read and accept the terms of the License Agreement." Click the "Install" button.
Wait for the installer to install FlipShare on your PC. Close the installer when prompted.
Launch FlipShare on your PC by clicking the desktop icon. Click "File" and then "Import" on the FlipShare menu bar.
Click the "Continue" button when the "About Importing Items" dialog box appears.
Select the folder on your PC where you want to save the imported Flip videos. Click the "OK" button and wait for FlipShare to import videos from the camera.
Launch FlipShare on your computer. Click and highlight the Flip video you want to upload to Facebook. If you want to upload all videos in FlipShare, click the "All" button.
Click the blue Facebook icon at the bottom of the FlipShare window. Click and select "Facebook" on the "Select a sharing site" pop-up window. Click the "Next" button.
Click the "Login" button on the "Sign In" window. When prompted on the Facebook Login to allow account access to FlipShare, click the "Connect" button.
Click the "Allow" button on the "Allow Constant Authorization" screen. Click the "Allow Publishing" button when prompted.
Click the "Share" button. FlipShare uploads the videos to your Facebook account and creates links to the videos on your profile page. Click the "Go to Facebook video album" link when prompted to view the videos in your Facebook account.
Open your current version of FlipShare software.
Plug your Flip camera's USB arm into one of your computer's USB 2.0 ports. FlipShare will automatically recognize the version of software that's preloaded on your Flip camera.
Exit the FlipShare application when prompted to do so.
Click "Continue" when a pop-up dialog box appears notifying you that a new version of the FlipShare software is setting up.
Read through the FlipShare user agreement that appears in a pop-up dialog box, and then click "I Agree." Your version of FlipShare will now be upgraded to the latest version.
Put the DV tape in a DV camcorder. Rewind the tape to the beginning. You can do this from the computer, but it might be simpler to do it now. Make sure the camera is turned on.
Connect the camera to the computer using a FireWire cable. DV camcorders have a connection for a FireWire cable on the back or bottom or somewhere where the controls are. Plug the cable into the camera and the other end into an open FireWire port on your computer.
Open video editing software such a Windows MovieMaker. You can also use commercial software programs like Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas Pro.
Look for the menu in the software that contains the capture option and click on "Capture." Start playing the tape in the camera by using the camera or software play button. Click on "Record" in the software. Save the file when the recording is done.
Open the ATI TV software you have installed on the computer.
Adjust the programming station to the channel you want (click the channel up or down buttons on the screen).
Right-click in the screen, then choose "Screen Size." This brings up a series of different screen size options.
Select "Full Screen" (or any other size you want), and the video size changes almost instantly.
Open your Silverlight coding application of choice and--if necessary--a program you are currently working on.
Start the password-saving process by creating a variable to hold the password by typing "new var(varchar)->user_password."
Gather the password through a small user input box with the following line of code: "Submit.Windows->#Enter Password:#==assign()."
Store the password into the variable that you created by typing "var.user_password()
Unlock the spring-loaded USB connector on the Flip video camera. Plug the camera into an empty USB port on the computer. After the Windows "AutoPlay" menu appears, click the "View your Flip Videos" option.
Accept the FlipShare License Agreement by clicking the check box next to the "I have read and accept the terms of the License Agreement" message. Click the "Install" button to launch the FlipShare installer.
Wait for the setup utility to install files to your computer and configure FlipShare. Close the setup utility after the installation finishes.
Click the FlipShare desktop icon to launch the program. Click "File," then "Import" on the FlipShare menu bar.
Click "Continue" in the "About Importing Items" dialog box, then browse to the folder where you want to save the videos from the Flip video camera.
Click "OK" button and wait for the application to copy videos from the Flip video camera to the folder you selected and load them in the FlipShare viewer.
Open FlipShare on your PC. Click to select the video in the Navigation Pane from which you want to create a photo snapshot.
Click the "Play" button in the FlipShare viewer and allow the video to play until it reaches the approximate location of the frame you want to use to create a snapshot. Once you reach a frame point close to the one to use for the snapshot, click the "Pause" button.
Use the mouse to drag the slider on the playback bar to the exact frame position you want to use for the snapshot. Navigate forwards or backwards until the marker is in the correct frame position.
Click the "Snapshot" button on the "Action Bar" at the bottom of the FlipShare window. The "Create Snapshots" window appears and displays the current frame and 12 others just before and after the frame displayed in the viewer -- 13 images in all.
Click the "Take Snapshot" button to send selected snapshots to the "Snapshots" pane to the right of the viewer. Alternatively, drag and drop the frames you want from the "Create Snapshots" window to the "Snapshots" pane. After you make your selections, click the "Save" button. FlipShare creates photo images from the selected frames and stores the same folder as the source video.
