Running Ccleaner will slow your computer for a while. But it'll speed up your pc.

Maybe you could upgrade your OS to Windows 7, which performs better than windows xp. Although Windows XP is classic, it's out of date, Imo.

It does work.. It actually does.. I use it all the time when I have to fix my Registry or Disk Cleanup and stuff like that.

I think it fine. But you should do the maintaince everyday you use the computer. Besides, anti-virus software is also essential, sometimes if you find your pc working poor, you should scan the whole system.
