its good to clean up your PC using one of these every once in a while
(maybe every 1 or 2 months) because files just build up on your PC
everyday. When a program uninstalls, it ALWAYS leaves something behind.
So far I've never had a problem come up when using one of these
programs.
Most Diskeeper versions also automatically optimize the file arrangement on the drive for faster access. Defraggler is a safe soft to optimize your pc disks.
Nothing bad will happen if you download a game while running defraggler.
It's just that defraggler tries to make extra room on your hard-drive by
compressing files, dealing with corrupted files/unused files, etc. So
by downloading a game at the same time it kind of defeats the purpose of
defraggler.
I don't think it will cause a problem, but it will probably cause the
defragmenting to not be as complete as it would have been. This is
because the downloading is causing files to be created, but defraggler
has to leave them alone and can't move them.
No, it's not a virus. And, yes, it's safe to use, but I can't imagine why you think you need it, because Defrag is already built-in to Windows.
And the reason it's taking up more hard disk space every time you use it
is because it saves a text based Log File, before it changes anything, a
"before and after" file.
