  • I found links of MySQL that can be installed in RHEL v5 but not for v6

  • Here is the Download links of MySQL 5.1.47 from brothersoft.com:  http://mysql.brothersoft.com/mysql5.1.47
    However, what I remember is that Red Hat enterprise linux 6(RHEL 6) will be installed with its own mysql. While you install a new mysql, it will pops up a error like
     error:Failed dependencies
           MySQL conflicts with mysql-5.1.47-4.el6.i686
