BearShare is safe to use, of cources. I have used it for ages. you should download the setup file from a reliable software download site, like brothersoft. and if you found a virus detected on the software you downloaded from brothersoft, post it to the brothersoft support mail. they will handle it. I once found one and email to the brothersoft service guys. They check and change to the right download link 10 hours later. they are user friendly.
You need to be more specific. Have you tried (and failed) to transfer those songs into iTunes? Did iTunes give you an error message when you tried? Or are all your songs not in iTunes at all? If you ask your question while providing more detail, you'll be more likely to get some help.
You can download itunes, and open the two programs beside eachother. click your songs and drag them into the itunes box. all your music on itunes will go straight to your ipod..
Either Download revo uninstaller and see if its there or use hijack this and get rid of it. Try hijack this first run it then click run a system scan. Delete anything that says bearshare toolbar and it should go. Make sure you do not delete anything else.
BearShare is both a music subscription service and a file
sharing program. Many of our files are coming from other BearShare
users. They are files that other users decided to share with you.
Because of this, there is no guarantee that the file you found
will always be available. The user that has the file might go offline,
or shut down BearShare, or delete the file from his or her computer
completely. Although the BearShare application tries to complete the
file from other sources, it is possible that the file cannot be found
and retrieved.
Here are some tips that might help you download the file you are looking for:
Pause and resume downloading file
Search for the file again, choose files with higher availability and download again.
Increase the number of concurrent downloads.
You can do it by choosing the Tools Menu in the BearShare program and then choosing Preferences -> General.
Click on the 'New playlist' button located on the
lower-left area of BearShare, and specify a name for the playlist. Then,
drag the desired songs from the library onto the playlist you've just
created.
